I can proudly say I have "grown up and done some great things" like my parents wanted. Having a toxic relationship doesn't have to mean you should cut your mom out of your life. But recognizing any of these behaviors in your relationship with your mother might be an indicator that you should prioritize putting work into making the relationship more balanced and healthful.

Nonetheless, it is great that she has triumphed over her past. She demonstrates natural comic gifts even when she’s discussing some of her darkest days. Her storytelling skills are first-rate. No educational value except for reading and instilling the love of books in your child! Highly recommended for the smaller children. I love the artwork and the actual text. It's lovely, lyrical, and dreamy and I love reading it to my 18m old. That the mom looks like she comes from the 1800s with her shawl, long dress, and pink satin slip. Sometimes toxic comments go beyond words.

Make no mistake about it - this book is a very hard read. There are many, many trigger warnings involved with this book but the details are needed for the true scope of the story to be understood. Jenette details the narcissistic and abusive behavior of her mother as well as her obsession with making Jennette a star and spending every moment with her. There are far too many moments in her life where her mother overstepped her boundaries by a large measure. If you have experienced mental or physical trauma at the hands of another please be sure that you are prepared before you pick up this book. If you have dealt with any sort of eating disorder, this book may not be the best choice for you.
The Biden administration is taking new action to combat the homelessness crisis. Illustrations were created using watercolor and color pencils. This book rhymes I'm not a huge fan of books that rhyme. Do you know a new mom who is going back to work? It is a wonderfully comforting book that she can read to her little one and then read again after the baby falls asleep. This book will remind the young readers of how lovable and kind mama is.

It calms you as you read it, which makes it a great book to read before bed. This tale leaves with a lovely feeling of comfort. It all began when I chose that one-night to stand and love myself. Aside from my own internal conflicts, there was a constant tension in my house and happiness was a rarity.
